How it started…

Kynton was on Fall Break Friday, October 6, 2023… he was watching cartoons when suddenly he called “Gammy” at work…

Kynton: Gammy! I have a great idea!!!

Gammy: Really? What is it?

Kynton: HOT WHEELS FOR THE HOMELESS!!!

Gammy: Good idea, Buddy, what made you think of that?

Kynton: Well, homeless kids don’t have a toy box because they don’t even have a home. But they can keep a Hot Wheels car in their pocket and play with it whenever they want to, and that will make them smile!!

Gammy: That’s awesome!

Kynton: I already know how to get the money to buy the cars! I will do a lemonade stand!

Gammy: Well, let’s try it!

Gammy shared that story with several friends and family members. And, everyone LOVES the idea! So, WE ARE DOING IT!

His first lemonade was Friday the 13th 2023! How’s that for a brave start? Kynton’s first time out was a big success and he’s so proud, he gathered enough Hot Wheels cars to make donations to New Hope Services, Center for Women and Families and the Center for Lay Ministries; with more to deliver!

Thanks to everyone who helped Kynton get started on this effort!

He is SO EXCITED !!!

By the way, in less than a week, Papaw built the lemonade stand, Gammy made the banner for it, Uncle Dale set up the non-profit paperwork with the State, and Kynton is doing the rest of the work!! Making lemonade out of lemons!
